Tax Deed Sales
New York handles tax collections
at the county level or by cities
and municipalities that have
charters and provisions for the
collection of taxes.
A
property's balance of delinquent
charges is eligible for sale
once the oldest tax lien remains
unpaid for at least one year.
New York also offer tax liens
for sale in some counties, but
the rules vary. In New York
City, liens are not offered to
the general public.
Sales are usually in April or
August.
